Welcome
!
I'm originally from Taylorsville, North Carolina. I got my bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and my Ph. D. from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
I've been in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science since Fall 2001. This fall I will teach online courses in Statistics and Mathematical Modeling for Teachers. Offline, I'll teach the Senior Capstone course and another section of Statistics.
I'm currently working with many collaborators on "chessboard separation problems". Please look at The N + k Queens Problem Page for more details.
I represent my department in the MSU Faculty Senate, and I am the Newsletter Editor and Webmaster for the Kentucky Section of the Mathematical Association of America.
Have fun looking at the stuff I've put on the web!
