Student Teaching
I am currently doing my student teaching at Fannie Bush Elementary in Winchester, Ky! I have just finished my first placement in Mrs. Bain's 1st grade class and now I am with Mrs. White's 5th grade class. I find that I am learning so much from these wonderful kids. There is never a boring day. I have been very fortunate to be placed with such wonderful teachers as role models.
Ending "th" Digraphs!!!
During my Literacy First skills group we were learning about digraphs. Here is a picture of our "Words in our mouth" activity where the students made mouths out of paper plates and wrote words that had the digraph "th" in it! The kids really enjoyed this one!
"Sh" Digraphs!!!
Again with my Literacy First skills group we were learning about the "sh" digraph. Here the students traced their "sh"oes and cut them out. Than the students wrote as many "sh" words on their "sh"oes as they could. Their work was placed in the hallways for all to see! They love to see their work up!!!
